I am one of the cousins from the Two and a Half Asians trio that enjoys sharing my love of food through writing, as well as through photographs. As you may have read on the “About 2.5Asians” Page, I am the kind of person whose phone is filled with pictures of food (and my dog) and I grew up in a family that nurtured through food. I learned that food was how you show love, share love, and it is often around when you are with people you love. My mother has showed me around a kitchen, but I still text her with questions about how to get the dish just right. I owe it to my mother and my extended family for introducing me to the culinary world!
Fast forward to the present, I am a busy student who still has a love for food (among other things). Whether it is in my personal or professional life, I love to be busy and try new things. I have always enjoyed writing, but have never been one to have a diary or blog; however, 2017 is a new year and a great time to start something new!
Purpose: I wanted to start this blog to share my love of food. The foodie world has expanded substantially but I think that every blog shares a different perspective! Currently I am a busy student but I am working hard at still participating in my hobbies, such as cooking and trying new restaurants. I love to share my perspectives on different recipes I have tried or places I have eaten, both locally and when I travel. The @2.5Asians Instagram has allowed me to begin to share, but I wanted to take it one step further and give the blog a shot.
Meaning: When deciding what to call my blog I wanted a name that reflected my foodie interest and being a student. A end goal for many students is being called to the bar and this is a journey I am currently on. As a result, I came up with “Eating My Way To The Bar” to share my love of food during my time studying to become a Lawyer.
